Gisteren kreeg ik een mail van een Deen die mij vroeg waarom mijn applicatie een Nederlandse beschrijving hadden in Denemarken. Engels zou zoveel logischer zijn.
Allereerst vind ik dat in Denemarken, Deens logischer zou zijn maar verder had hij wel punt leek mij. Even uitzoeken dus.
Het blijkt dat de App Store alleen maar een paar talen kent. Deens zit er bijvoorbeeld niet bij. Mocht jouw taal er niet bij zitten, dan springt de taal standaard terug naar de eerste taal die je als Developer hebt ingevoerd. In mijn gevallen is dat Nederlands. Het maakt daarbij niet uit dat ik ook een Engels beschrijving heb.
Deze keuze kun je later niet meer veranderen. De enige andere oplossing is dan om alle andere talen de Engelse beschrijving te copy-pasten.

Upgrading a Target from iPhone to iPad
If you have an iPhone application that you want to upgrade to run on iPad devices you need to upgrade the target that builds your iPhone application into a target that can build both an iPhone and an iPad application, or add a target to your project for building the iPad application.
To upgrade an iPhone target for iPad development, select the target in the Groups & Files list and choose Project > Upgrade Current Target for iPad.
Tweede wat je moet doen is een icoon file toevoegen. Dat doen je zo:
add a new property called CFBundleIconFiles and add the 2 icons, the Array (0) is for iPhone Icon, the Array(1) is for iPad icon.
Remember to leave the default Icon file property to the iPhone for back compatibility with old versions of the OS.
remember to specify the correct sizes for both apps:
- iPhone icon: 57 x 57 pixels
- iPad icon: 72 x 72 pixels
